OH WOW ALEXA.

I'm quite jealous.

When asked 'If she could go out with any celebrity in the world, who would it be..' recently, she replied: 'Alex Turner from the Artic Monkeys, I'm already living the dream.' Yes you are. He's beautiful and you're perfect.

Build a Raft..

I'm Feeling Restless.

Sometimes a bit of meloncholy isn't so bad. On this occasion, all I can think is how summer is drawing to a close which is something I'm not at all excited about it. My new favourite is getting a fantastic job far away, old friends are staying away.. it all makes me feel a little trapped, and slightly miserable.
The mornings of waking up to sight of the North coast of Africa has made me crave the unknown. I've been thinking of visits to Morocco, getting lost through winding streets and staying in a mirad. I think these plans will have to be put on hold for the time being, I don't have enough money. It'll happen eventually.

For now, days will be spent making the most of the remaining days of summer and spending as much time as possible with my favourite people before they leave.. and before I leave for Norwich, once agina, for my third and final year.

Glandular Fever on the Coast of Spain.

I have finally returned from my holidays in Spain. The holiday went quickly, but I feel as if I've been gone forever. The first week of the holiday was spent in the tourist resort of 'Club Calohanda,' on the costa del sol. The apartment was beautiful, on clear days you can see the coast of Africa from our balcony, there were also pretty gardens and friendly staff.

The following week was spent at my parents own little apartment on the South East coast, after a near 6hour drive, not including the stop at the fantastic 'Alhambre,' a Moorish castle in Granada. The apartment is small but very cosy and contains only fond memories for me. Time here was spent wandering through Spanish markets, shopping and watching parades in the nearby towns and cities.Unfortunately for me, a few days before leaving for the trip, I came down with a case of 'Glandular fever,' and so spent the best part of holiday feeling delirious and incredibly sleepy. The one good thing about being so tired, was that I really got into the Spanish way of life by taking a daily 'siesta.' Between the hours of 2pm-4pm I would nap in my hazy room with a soft breeze, and wake up feeling just well enough to catch the late afternoon sun and go for a swim.I always feel unhappy after returning from a holiday, all I seem to want to do is take off again.. or make new plans.

English Country House

As part of my 20th Birthday celebrations, my parents took me to visit the historical, British landmark, Wimpole Hall. Until the 1970s the house had been privately owned by a couple, who had the whole place to themselves, (along with their staff.) It's now owned by the national trust. It was the houses last owners, Captain and Elise Bambridge, who dedicated their lives to collecting art and furniture for the house ready for it to be left to the national trust. The Captain died quite a while before Elise and she had no other family. Some areas of the house had a sad tone to them. I wonder if the somber air would have diminished had she had a loving family, rather than acquired a lot of, albeit beautiful, material goods. Either way, she had a beautiful house and I imagine she had a lot of friends.
